Time to Get Medieval at the Storm the Castle Half Marathon

With all of the recent attention on House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power, clearly we all want to get out of our routines and into a medieval adventure. And with Storm the Castle from Elevated Trail Racing, you have the chance to be named King or Queen of the Castle. All the royalty and none of the bloodshed (hopefully).

Storm the Castle Half Marathon has participants making 2,815 feet of elevation gains across the trails of Kings Castle and Castle Rock. With that much gain, you know there will be epic views along the way. The course is primarily an out-and-back with the start and finish at Mckenzie Community Center. Runners will be traveling through Willamette National Forest, hopefully on a crisp December day.

Along with the beautiful course, there are lots of chances to win beautiful prizes. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their medieval gear with an award going to best costume.

There will also be free Altra trail shoes to the first place male/female, awards for top three male/female, and of course: King and Queen of the Castle. Everyone will get to enjoy a hot meal and beer from Ninkasi Brewing.
