Trail Bliss: Unleashing Adventure with the Territory Run Co. Long Haul Collection

Supporting local companies like Territory Run Co. is akin to investing in the heartbeat of our community. Local businesses, especially local run companies, contribute to the lifeblood of our city. When we choose to patronize them for our gear, wear a shirt emblazoned with their name, or take in a group run – we’re endorsing what the vast majority of us love about running – a feeling of community. Territory Run Co., as a local Portland company, embodies the spirit and values of our community.

If you don’t know, Territory Run Co.’s storefront is nestled in the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland. This location is one of the most ideal backdrops for a company that celebrates the rugged running beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The iconic St. Johns Bridge that stretches across the Willamette River, forming a dramatic silhouette against the skyline and the trail running mecca of Forest Park, is a symbol of the region’s character. It stands as a beacon, mirroring the resilience and determination that Territory Run Co. infuses into every product they create.

The Long Haul Collection from Territory Run Co. exemplifies the essence of Portland. The collection has colorways that fit in here – understated and reminiscent of the trails. Muted blues call out to the skies overhead (when it’s not the middle of rain season), orange hues bear a resemblance to the leaves adorning our paths, and browns and mustards call out to the trails around us. I don’t think this is why Territory Run Co. decided on these colors, but it’s the vibes I personally get.

Outside of a long pine tree on the tops and bottoms, and a logo patch on the hats, the Long Haul Collection is free from much adornment.  This is just a straightforward collection focused on quality and function and not on flash.

Long Haul Tee:

The Long Haul Tee is constructed with all the qualities we need from a shirt. It wicks moisture and is super lightweight. It’s comfortable to the touch and sits with a more relaxed fit – making it a great standalone option. It is not boxy or cumbersome however, but also won’t constrict you – its a nice middle ground.

The Long Haul Tee is also seamless – making friction as limited as possible. We haven’t experienced any chafing in testing out these tops.

Long Haul Men’s Shorts:

The Long Haul Shorts come in a 5″ inseam in the men’s version, and a 2.75″ inseam in the womens. They look like they should be heavier than they are, but they keep a manageable weight while also feeling durable and like they are ready…for the long haul.

There is a pocket on the back middle (that should fit most phones), and also two smaller internal pockets for keys, cards, and nutrition needs. They are also seamless, which is great for whether you’re tackling steep ascents or navigating technical descents. We truly feel these shorts provide the support and freedom of movement desired when tackling the outdoors.

Long Haul Cap:

I am a hat guy (I have waaaaaaaay too many), but I’m always adding to my collection. Personally, I love having a little flash with my headwear – something that stands out – but I know that’s not the case for everybody. There are almost 10 style and color options in the Long Haul Collection, so you should be able to find one that fits your desires. We do think that the PDX design is amazing.

They come in a 5-panel design, with the front made from ripstop nylon and the side and back panels having holes for breathability.

Outside of style, a good running hat needs more. My runs in the Long Haul Caps have been solid – they fit snug enough without being constricting. There’s nothing worse than constantly adjusting headwear during runs to find the right fit. They are super late, keep the moisture off the face, and dry pretty quick as well. These are a welcome addition to my ever-expanding headwear arsenal.

We have been thrilled to reconnect with Territory Run Co.’s stuff. We actually were one of the first entities who assisted in promoting their launch back in the day. They have grown so well here in the PNW and we encourage you to become a part of their supporters. With the Long Haul Collection, Territory Run Co. not only delivers top-notch performance wear, but also a slice of Portland’s authentic spirit, inviting runners to embrace the wild, untamed beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
