Dun Dun Dun Dunnnnn: 2022 Beat Beethoven 5K Fun Run/Walk (Bend, OR)

If there is only one song you know by Beethoven, it is his Symphony No. 5. You can literally search online for the “dun dun dun dunnnnn song” and find exactly the one you know. During my own little trip down the rabbit hole, I found this fantastic choreographed scene to the whole song (stick around for the happy ending).

Luckily, the Beat Beethoven 5K uses the full version of the piece so you get about 33 minutes to try and get to the finish line. One of your competitors will be the maestro himself who will be right on pace to finish the course when the last stanza ends. Participants are encouraged to get in the musical spirit with Beethoven costumes that just might win a fun prize. All finishers receive a ribbon and everyone can enjoy food and drinks at the finish line.

All proceeds from the event go toward the Central Oregon Symphony, a community-based orchestra that has been performing since 1967. Watch this video of their spring 2022 concert for some extra inspiration before the event.
