Get Cracking at 2022 Molalla Firecracker Run

There’s good news and there’s bad news.

The bad news is that the Freedom 5k is no longer an option in Molalla. The good news is that the baton has officially been passed on! The Molalla Aquatic District & CrossFit will be bringing you the 2022 Molalla Firecracker 5k & 1M Kids Run!!

The Molalla Firecracker 5k will be taking place at Heckard Field before the annual Giant Street Parade just as the Freedom 5k did in the past. What this means is that the course is fully enclosed through the streets of Molalla and completely family friendly. Blocked streets = runner safety and there will be crowds on hand for the parade and they will be there to cheer you all on like the rockstars you are!

Time and Cost

If you have kids who want to participate but can’t quite make it through a 5k, there will also be a 1 Miler that they can participate in for only $10. The 1 Miler begins at 8:00AM and the 5k will follow at 9:00AM. All 5k participants will get a tee-shirt included in the $50 registration fee. There will be an additional charge of $5 for anyone who waits until race day to register for either race.

Packet pick up for the event will be on both the Friday before (5:00PM to 8:00PM) and Saturday prior (9:00AM to 12:00PM) at the Molalla Aquatic Center on Frances Street.
