Running, Wine, and Sunsets – Get it all at the Silvan Ridge Twilight 5k this summer

It is almost a given fact that races start in the morning, generally at 7 or 8 am. The Silvan Ridge Twilight 5K switches things up with a 6 pm start time at the Silvan Ridge Winery, just outside of Eugene. The course is described as an out and back on a rolling road near farmlands and vineyards, so expect great views on a rural course. A unique perk of this event is that registration includes a drinking glass as a souvenir.

Registration is currently open through Eclectic Edge Racing. Cost is $30 plus another $12 if you would like an event shirt (only guaranteed through June 1st). Race day entry will be an additional $5. In person registration is available at Run Hub and Eugene Running Company through noon on the 18th. Directly before the race you can sign up at the Silvan Ridge Winery from 4:30 to 5:45p. Packet pickup is at that time as well.

Post-race there will be awards for the top 3 finishers of each gender as well as recognition for the top finishers in each age group. Live music will be playing on the outdoor stage and there will be food and drink to purchase. This race is a benefit for the Jane Higdon Foundation.
