If you love running in Forest Park in Portland, there’s great opportunity in your future if you get into the 2022 Stumptown Trail Runs on May 28-30. The Half Marathon is on Saturday the 28th and the 50k will be Monday the 30th. It is currently a sold out race, but you can still register to get on the waiting list for this beautiful event by Go Beyond Racing. The funds from this race will go to the Forest Park Conservancy.
The 50k is the only one of it’s kind held in Portland and will travel the Wildwood Trail as well as some other trails along Forest Park. There will be approximately 4000’ of elevation gain. There will be 4 aid stations along the course with GU gels, electrolyte drink, gummy bears, PB&J, bananas, chips and other sweet and salty provisions. There will also be 1 aid station with just water. There is a cutoff time of 1:30PM at the 4th aid station a bit past mile 20. Check out more details about the course here.
The half marathon will also be challenging, with 1,920’ of elevation gain. You will also have a fantastic journey on some great trails. The course starts and finishes at the Leif Erikson and Wild Cherry trails junction and there will be 3 aid stations with GU gels, electrolyte drink, and water. There will be no drop bags and the race will be cupless, so please bring your own to the aid stations to stay hydrated.
After your amazing accomplishment on the trails, stick around for the awards and some post-race food and drink. You will have earned it!

Where: Leif Erikson, quarter mile from the top of Thurman Street in Forest Park, Portland. See map here. Carpooling is highly recommended, as parking is limited and tends to fill quickly. Please don’t block driveways.

Registration Cost: $120 for 50k, $80 for Half Marathon. Costs go up $10 day of race. Optional shirt available for purchase during registration.
