Turning and Burning at the 2022 Tillamook Burn Trail Race

As a two-time participant, I can say that Tillamook Burn Trail Run is the hardest race I have ever done. And it is by far the most memorable. When the event starts with an incline that I expected would end in snow, you know an adventure is ahead.

In 2022, “The Burn” includes two race distances on two separate weekends: a 50K staring at 8am on Saturday, April 23rd, and then a 100-miler at 6am on Saturday, April 30th. Both courses are primarily out-and-back routes through Tillamook State Forest that will have you crossing dozens of streams and passing thousands of flourishing trees. The start and end at are Reehers Camp, where a bonfire will be there to warm you up and later welcome you home.

The registration fee includes full-service aid stations, medical and moral support, finisher award, and after-party. If you are interested in a race shirt, hat, or other swag, you can purchase them at the time of registration. And you will want lots of ways to celebrate this accomplishment. I promise.

The 50K is limited to 9 hours, the 100-miler is limited to 34 hours, and each race is capped at 200 participants. So get moving!!!
