Trail Running through Tulips: The Tulip Trail Run has you Covered

If you are interested in a trail race in late March, take a look at the Tulip Trail Run. This is a half, 10k, and 5k race taking place at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm & Vineyard in Woodburn, about 30 miles south of Portland. Race day is March 19th.

Course

Historically, the half marathon course has included routes outside the farm, while the 5K and 10K stay on the farm grounds. You want to know what running on a farm sounds like? Check out this description from the race website: “The path includes a run through the tulip field, along hazelnuts, near coyote den and through farm fields.” (emphasis added). As someone who’s been known to follow a coyote for a picture when out running, I would love to run past a coyote den!

When you’re done with the race, stay for the Tulip Fest — admission is included in the race fee!

Finally, this race is fundraiser for the Oregon City High School Track and Field Team.
