Strava Segments of the Week: A few on the Tualatin River Greenway

In the middle of the holidays, there’s nothing better than the word “free”. And, add “race” to the end of that and you have an even better combo. On 12/18, the Ugly Holiday Sweater Run is back, better than ever, and FREE!!

You can read our preview here. There is a limit of 500 and the registration page shows that its almost half filled – so expect a spirited and fun race with your peers.

While we don’t see a race course posted for the race, previous years have seen it take runners on the Tualatin River Greenway. Even if you don’t make it out to the race this weekend, here are a couple of our favorite segments on this route:

The top 3 for each segment are the same – Chris Roth, Sam Sneed, and Bobby Olivera – and all based out of Portland. We always love seeing local runners leading the charge on these great segments!

Remember, you can still head to Tualatin and compete for FREE this weekend.

Also, if you use Strava (or want to get started – it’s free!) please join the Run Oregon club! We currently have over 720 members! It’s a fun way to keep track of your miles and see how others in the area are doing.

Strava is an online training and racing log for runners and cyclists. The basic account is free and requires you to create a login. Note that this is not sponsored by Strava, nor endorsed or supported in any way by Strava. It’s just a fun thing we’re going to do to give some speedy shout-outs to area runners and pose a challenge to those of you willing to take on their segment.
