Race Preview: 2021 Run with Grace (Medford)

Among the many things I learned in 2020 is that we all need more grace. Grace for others. And grace for ourselves.

Run with Grade 5K is a memorial run that honors the life of a young woman named Grace Holt, and offers grace to youth struggling today. Grace lost her life to suicide in 2016 and her mother and others who knew and loved her want to ensure youth to be seen and supported. Proceeds from the event go toward scholarships through Champions of Change. Students with financial need get to go to enrichment or summer programs through the nominations of teachers or coaches, and then financial support from events like this race.
The criteria is that the student needs to be kind and have a financial need.
Participants in the race can help identify youth who should receive one of these opportunities.

Participating in the race can happen in person or virtually. In-person runners and walkers will be limited to only 400 participants, with two waves (10am and 11:15) and strict guidelines for safety throughout. Anyone can participate in the virtual 5K option and receive a bib and participation sticker in the mail.
