Race Preview: 2020 ORRC Virtual Y2K Run

For many of us, 2021 cannot get here fast enough. There is just something magical about a new year. Especially when that year is not 2020. 😛

To celebrate the new year, ORRC is hosting its annual Y2K run (virtual this time to keep all of the runners, walkers, and volunteers safe). This virtual event provides participants with a lot more options than most years. Instead of just one day, racers can complete the distance any time during the first week of 2021. And distance options include 5K, 10K, and half marathon options.

After completing the distance, finishers are invited to a drive-thru pick-up at the ORRC office on Saturday, January 9 from 10am to noon. Every participant gets a goodie bag (including medal!!!) and a breakfast burrito. And if you cannot stop by on the 9th, not to worry: ORRC can mail the packet your way.

With so much to wonder about and hope for in 2021, Y2K is a great way start the year off right.
