I am pretty sure every person in Oregon has an insulated water bottle of some sort. I know I have a few, including one that has been my “go-to” for the past few years. It feels good to keep as many plastic bottles, and the like, out of landfills and the ocean. However, I would also venture a guess that most out there are pretty one-dimensional – meaning they keep water beverages warm or cool, and that’s about it. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but Hibear’s 32 ounce All-Day Adventure Flask, is now on Kickstarter and is the Swiss Army knife of insulated bottles.

Hibear isn’t just a random company venturing out into the Kickstarter market. The flask actually won the 2020 Red Dot Design Award, and extremely competitive and sought-after award for product design. Here is a description about their flask via their campaign:

Optimized for versatility through smart design, the All-Day Adventure Flask crafts beverages from coffee to cocktails, yet is simple enough to be used as an everyday water bottle. Its vacuum-insulated shell, made from tough kitchen-grade stainless steel, makes the bottle sustainable and nonabsorbent of flavors. The silicone sleeve on the base protects it from small drops and is removable to double as a mug for friends and pets. It opens up to access everything inside, making it easy to clean and eliminates the need for a bottle brush. Inside is a 355 ml 130µ stainless steel filter for infusions, tea, and cold brew. There is a strainer for shaking cocktails and a steel thermal core to keep colds colder without diluting them with ice. The lid even inverts to make pour-over coffee.

Needless to say, there is a lot that has gone into creating this cool vessel. The founder of the company is someone that we feel our audience can behind. Mark Tsigounis is an Appalachian Trail thru-hiker, two-time Ironman, and ultrarunner. Additionally, the company is Climate Neutral Certified and a member of 1% for the Planet. He said I got my first insulated bottle in Africa, but it was while backpacking in South America where I thought, ‘damn this thing would be way cooler if it did more.’ And here we are.
