Press Release: The 15th annual Running Event moves forward with 2020 dates

The Running Event, the premier conference and trade show in the running specialty industry that is produced by Diversified Communications, announced today it will move forward with its 2020 planned event in Austin, Texas from December 1-3, 2020. Event registration will open in mid-August.

“We are pleased to announce that The Running Event will return as originally planned to the Austin Convention Center in December,” said Christina Henderson, executive director for The Running Event. “The health and well-being of our exhibitors, attendees and staff are our top priority. We will continue to work closely with the venue as well as adhering to state and local regulations to provide a healthy environment for all and ensure the safest event possible.”

The Running Event is North America’s largest running specialty trade show, hosting 260 exhibitors and over 2,500 total attendees. The three-day event is comprised of breakout conference sessions for both retailers and race directors, two days of exhibitions, demos and more. The 2020 show will debut new opportunities to learn, share ideas and engage in friendly competition.

“We remain optimistic about the ability and power of running to bring communities together,” continued Henderson. “The future of events will have to look different, but we will continue to provide current, relevant retailer education as well as connect brands and retailers in the best setting, in the safest way possible.”
