Race Preview: 2019 Mad Hatter Dash 5k Fun Run (Salem)

It’s all about the hats. Come for the sweat and stay for the fun at Salem’s 8th annual Mad Hatter Dash on Saturday, September 28th, 2019. This event is a 5k fun run which benefits the Salem Dream Center which helps poverty stricken kids through education programs.

This run will start at the softball field entrance at Wallace Marine Park Softball Complex in Salem. Runners will run through the park and across the Union Street Pedestrian Bridge, over the Center Street bridge, and then back over the trails of Wallace Marine Park and back to the softball field.

This is a family friendly event, so kids and adults alike are encouraged to run together! Hats aren’t required to participate, but a wacky or fun one would certainly be encouraged.

The first three winners in five age groups will win some amazing medals that have been created by the kids of the Salem Dream Center. There will also be special awards for teams and the coveted Hatter’s Trophy will go to the participant with the best hat.

The cost of the race is only $30, but register soon, as the race will be here before you know it!!
