Race Preview: 2019 Oregon Fall Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and 5K

Fall is right around the corner, and so too is the Oregon Fall Half Marathon/Quarter Marathon/5K. This is the fourth and final installment of Uberthons’ seasonal races throughout the areas surrounding the Portland metro region. The Fall Event takes place at St. Josef’s Winery in Canby on September 7, 2019.

All three distance options start in the same location and head out on the same route. The 5K has the earliest turnaround, then the quarter marathon, with the half marathon throwing in a lollipop loop for three miles before turning around. The course map can be found here. It’s a pretty straightforward course; the one notable warning that I would offer any newcomers is to be aware that there is a dip and rise just after the start of the course, which also means that it’s there to greet you as you make your way to the finish. Other than that dip-and-rise, it’s a flat course that takes you through Oregon farmland. Traffic is minimal and there have always been race volunteers controlling the one major intersection.

And after you finish running, you can enjoy the catering by Qdoba! As with all Uberthons’ events, there are finisher’s medals, overall winner medals, and age group winner pins. Half marathoners get a race shirt too.

If you want to get more of a sense of this event, I recapped the 2017 race here.
