Come to Tillamook on Saturday April 13th for the 2019 TJHS Splash & Dash, which offers a 5k, a 10k, and a .25 mile kid’s race.
Many of the locals participate in this race every year, and it’s a great opportunity to raise funds for Bud’s Community Fitness Trail, which is at Tillamook Junior High’s campus. This trail is a great place for the entire community to run or walk and the proceeds from the race go towards maintaining and continuously improving it so it can remain able to provide all with a great opportunity to stay active.
The cost of the race is just $30 for the 5k and 10k or $10 for the kid’s race. The 10k will start first from TIllamook Junior High School at 9:00AM, followed by the 5k at 9:30AM. The Kid’s Run will beging at 10:00AM.
This is a great race for the entire family and there will be music, awards, and snacks to look forward to after the race has been completed.

Another great race, only a week after the one mentioned above, is the 2019 Earth Day Run in Neskowin. This race also gives you the option of a 5k or 10k, and there is also a trail challenge if you wish to get the family involved. This challenge is an adventure race in the woods where kids under 18 can run free alongside their parents.
The tagline for this Earth Day race is “HEROES WANTED” because all the proceeds from this race will go towards the Neskown Valley School’s tuition scholarship. Investing in our kid’s education is money well spent.
The top three participants in each race category will get beautiful hand-made wooden medals. There will also be a finisher beer or kombucha waiting at the end, as well as live entertainment and vegetarian chili, salad, and bread.
The cost of any of the events is $30 and all take place at Neskowin Valley School.
