The weeks around Valentine’s Day can mean different things depending on what your relationship status during this time of year. If you are taken, grab your sweetheart for the Couple Shuffle 10K Relay, where couples will each run a 5K to complete a 10K course as a team. If you are the solo type, running the Love Stinks 5K allows you to showcase your independent spirit.
The Couple Shuffle 10K Relay and the Love Stinks 5K is a fun, low-key race. Both distances start at 9:00 am after the finish of the kids’ Fun Run at 8:50 am.
The course is set along one of Oregon’s premier golf courses. This setting is a perfect place to test your legs, with varied terrain, turns and straightaways. The race weaves around the course and finishes at the club house. Once runners finish at the club house, there will be refreshments for that perfect ending to a race to remember.
Make sure to note in your registration if you are in a special category such as parent/child relay since there will be awards for some of these teams in addition to the overall and single winners, second and third place finishers.
Packet pick up will be available at 8:00 am – 8:45 am at the Rogue Valley Country Club. Day-of registration will be available at the time as well. Day-of registration fees are $50 for the 10K Relay and $30 for the 5K.
Due to the sensitive nature of the course, participants are asked to leave all jogging strollers and furry running buddies for the sidelines, or at home.
