Calling all Turkey Trotters…The Oregon Coast will be a fun destination for some great Turkey Trot races. This time of year, is such a great time to get out, enjoy the scenery and run off those calories from Thanksgiving. The Oregon Coast has some great options for running this time of year. The Newport Turkey Trot, The NCRD Turkey Trot Canned Food Drive in Manzanita, and The Turkey Trot Fun Run in Coos Bay. All events are held on November 22nd, 2018.
The Newport Turkey Trot is a great family race on Thanksgiving morning. A workout sure to increase your appetite for Thanksgiving. This is a family friendly event, participants can walk, run, crawl a 5K, 10K and a kids run. They even have a Kids Fun Run offered. Prizes awarded for top overall male and female finishers in each race, top master (+40) male and female in each race, and top grandmaster (+50) male and female in each race. Age group ribbons are also awarded to the top 3 in each age group. Concluding the awards ceremony, a raffle will be held with neat prizes from sponsors.

The 4th Annual NCRD Turkey Trot Canned Food Drive in Manzanita is a great family friendly event. Come join in Thanksgiving morning. Entry for this great event is a canned or non-perishable food item. Cash donations are also accepted and will go to the North Country Food Bank in Wheeler Oregon. This race is organized by the North County Recreation District.
