Aurora Roth Wins ORRC Greenway Trail Trial (entry)! … Hey, would you like to win race entries?

A few weeks ago, the Strava Segment of the Week was the FC North of Bridge to Pond. We looked at everyone from the Run Oregon Strava Club that ran the segment as part of the 2018 ORRC Greenway Trail Trial and picked one person at random to get an entry to the 2019 ORRC Greenway Trail Trial and that person was Aurora Roth!

The Run Oregon admins (fancy name for people who don’t have a life outside of this blog) are toying with the idea of tying each Strava Segment of the Week to a race in our area and giving race directors the chance to give out a few entries that way. What do you think of that idea? What races would like to see take part? Would this type of incentive encourage you to sign up for a race or run that segment within a certain time period?

What we’re thinking is either:

OPTION A: Everyone in the Run Oregon Strava Club that completes the selected segment as a registered participant of the race is entered into the drawing.

OPTION B: Everyone in the Run Oregon Strava Club that completes the selected segment during a specific time period is entered into the drawing.

Let us know in comments below, or in the comments of this post on facebook, what you think! And if you’re a race director that wants to sign up early for this idea, email us – you know how to find us!

Congratulations, Aurora!

About Kelly Barten (919 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
