Obstacle races have been all the rage for the past few years, and for good reason! These races provide the opportunity to test your other strengths including climbing, upper body, crawling and more. They also have a great atmospheres and are a ton of fun. If you are looking for a local obstacle race, check out The Terrain Race happening on June 16, 2018.
This race takes place in Sherwood and has a competitive wave and an open wave, so if you are feeling the competitive juices flowing or just want to run with family or friends, this race has both options. In fact, you can even do both! If you are wanting to run competitively but your friends also want to run it casually with you, you can just pay $15 to do unlimited laps!
The Terrain Race includes 20 obstacles and the race map of the obstacles isn’t released till the morning of the race. Racers can take a penalty and skip an obstacle if they are in the open waves but competitive runners must complete every obstacle. Competitive waves are eligible for cash prizes ranging from third place $50 win to $200 first place win.
With your registration comes a race shirt and medal as well as an awesome after party with food and drinks. If you have kids that want to be like mom and dad and complete an obstacle race, there is a half mile mini monkey course for them to complete!
The Terrain Race is a great race for obstacle racers out there! Be prepared to work hard, get dirty and have fun!
