Race Preview: 2018 Bridge to Brews 8K and 10K (Portland)

Portland is known for a lot of things but probably mostly for our beer and bridges. If you want to run something that encompasses both these very iconic Portland things, I highly recommend running the Bridge to Brews 8K or 10K.

Put on by Terrapin Events, this race takes place on April 15th and starts downtown on the Portland waterfront. This is the only race that crosses the Fremont Bridge and will be sure to give runners stunning views of the city. At mile 1 and 3 there will be live music on the course. Each runner receives a super comfortable and stylish shirt as well as a cup which comes into great use in the after-race festivities.

Once runners finish the race they are rewarded with tons of beer and wine samples, food, music and more! There are awards for the top three female and male finishers as well as the top three female and male masters finishers. If you are interested in getting your kids involved, you can run with them in the stroller and they can run the kid’s dash right before the adult race. The kid’s dash is half a mile long and starts and finishes at the same starting line as the other races.
