Rogue Valley Race Group is hosting the Forest Park 5k and 10k runs near the small town of Jacksonville just west of Medford on Saturday, April 7th. The race benefits Madrone Trail Public Charter School and Forest Park.
The race starts and ends at the main Forest Park parking lot, approximately 1 1/2 miles up Reservoir Rd to the west of Jacksonville. The 10k starts first at 9am, followed by the 5k at 9:30am. After the race, you can enjoy some hot chocolate and fruit, and awards will be given to overall top finishers and ribbons to age group top three.
The 5k is 90% singletrack and 10% gravel roads in a single loop with 2 singletrack climbs totaling less than 800ft. 10K uses the 5k course but adds a 3rd climb on trail before descending to the finish.
