Small Race Preview: 2018 Salmon Creek Run (Powers)

The South Coast Running Club is hosting the Salmon Creek Run in the small town of Powers, Oregon. Located along the Coquille-Rogue Scenic Byway, Powers is a gateway to the Siskiyou National Forest. This small logging community is nestled in a valley surrounded by the mountains of the coast range.

This quaint location is where you will find the affordable Salmon Creek 5K and 10K Race. The routes are rolling and scenic on both paved and gravel roads in the community of Powers.

When you get to Powers, turn right at the gas station and you’ll find the start/finish area at Hemlock and 2nd. You are encouraged to bring a picnic so that after the race you can explore the area, which includes many beautiful waterfalls.
