Race Preview: 2018 Bring in Spring 5k (Eugene)

The flowers in Oregon are already starting to bloom, so you know what that means ..  It’s time to start thinking about Spring Race Season! Before we know it, there will be lots of races to choose from, including the 3rd annual Bring in Spring 5k in Eugene on March 24th. This Level 32 Racing event is the day before the McKenzie Half Marathon, and it’s a great way to ease back into races as the weather improves.

The Bring in Spring 5k is a hybrid road and trail race which is entirely inside Armitage Park. Level 32 Racing will cover the day-use parking fee, so no pass will be required. However, please do NOT park in the first lot. The race begins at picnic shelter J and is a two loop course with a finish line located in the same spot as Sunday’s McKenzie Half Marathon (in case you were wanting to do both!) Check out the course map here.

Camping will be available at Armitage Park if you want to make a weekend out of it. Book directly through Lane County by calling 541-682-2000 and referring to the McKenzie River Half Marathon.

The cost is $25 for adults 18 to 59 and $20 for Seniors and Youth. Cost increases to $35 on race day. Online registration will close at 12:00AM on 3/23. Bibs should be picked up on race morning at Armitage Park starting at 7:30AM and ending at 8:45AM. The top 3 in each age division will earn a medallion.
