October is such a great time of year for races. Halloween is just around the corner, and decorations and costumes are everywhere! This year, why not add Run like Hell to your race calendar and come dressed up for the festive and spookiest run event of the season. Terrapin’s Run like Hell encourages participants to dress up, and even has a costume contest and kids run. This years race will be on Sunday October 22nd, 2017.
Run like Hell has 3 options to run, a 5K, 10K, and half marathon. The start and finish line will be on the east side of Portland, in the East Side Industrial Area. Each race will run over Portland bridges. There will be a very fun post race party featuring live music, food and beer, and much more. Run like Hell is certified by USATF and will have race support throughout the course. It will have aid stations every 2 miles and will have bike medics roaming on the course. There will be volunteers and pacers to help meet goals for participants.
They are celebrating their 15th anniversary, and will feature an all new start and finish, and a faster/ smoother course. Some other new additions to this years race include a mobile results app, computer results kiosk, a finisher video of each participant, live internet results, and a custom finisher certificate. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, custom medal, two ice cold Lagunitas beers or Two Town Cider (21+), post race food, live local music at post race party, Musical Mile ( plus music every 2 miles), mountain and river views, kids zone with Olive Rootbeer and Dingo the Clown, race support and volunteers and more.
Run like Hell is currently on it’s tier three prices, and will increase. Prices will also increase race weekend. Prices for Run like Hell, Half marathon: $94.00 thru October 3rd, 10K:$59.00 thru October 3rd, 5K: $49.00 thru October 18th, Kids half miler: $8.00 thru Wednesday prior to event.
