Woof! Woof woof! Being an animal lover and a dog owner, I am all about combining running and dogs together. The Tigard K9 5K is a fundraiser for the Tigard Police K-9 program and local youth projects. Last year the race raised $3,000 for the K-9 program and in it’s 4th year now, they hope to be able to raise even more this year!
Unlike a lot of the smaller races, this race is chip-timed as you race through lovely Cook Park. Your dog can even run with you! There is also a kids run option for the little ones. This race has a super cute finisher medal for all participants! There are also awards for:
- First, Second, and Third Place 5K Run winner
- First, Second, and Third Place 5K Run Dog Winner (with their person!)
- Kids Run Winner
