Small Race Preview: 2017 Bridging the Gap 5k Fun Run (Salem)

Did you know that National Neighbor Day is Sunday, September 24th? While I did not, the Salem Leadership Foundation did and is putting on their 3rd annual Bridging the Gap Celebration, which includes a Bridging the Gap Fun Run 5k (as well as a downtown Salem history walk, a hike into West Salem, and a soccer-themed activity on the mall).

This is definitely small scale and untimed, but looks like a fun opportunity to bring the whole family and experience an evening of running and playing afterwards. Following the hour-long activities (or whatever your 5k pace may be), there will be live music, a barbecue catered by Adam’s Ribs, and bounce houses for kids.
