Race Preview: 2017 Deschutes Dash Multi Sports Festival

The 14th Annual Deschutes Dash Multi Sports Festival gives everyone a chance to compete in beautiful Bend, Oregon. This event boasts new run courses, additional finish line activities, and promises to be a race to remember. Held at River Bend Park in the Old Mill District, this sports festival “is recognized as one of the most spectator-friendly, multi-sport venues in the Pacific Northwest!”

For the triathletes there are 3 different triathlon distances to choose from and the option of a triathlon relay. Duathletes have two different distance choices or an AquaBike option. Runners and walkers can choose either the 5K or 10K and the kids can participate in the Kids Splash and Dash Obstacle Race.

If you participated in this Sports Festival in the past, you will notice the big change this year is that all events are on the same day instead of this being a weekend long event. Having run the 10K several years ago, I think this is a great change. It will make all the events feel more a part of the festival and allow you to see other events and athletes throughout the day.
