The Britt Woods Firehouse Run in Jacksonville, Oregon has been put on by the Southern Oregon Runners Club for many years now and offers a variety of unique and fun options to choose from for your running pleasure! There is a 10k, 4.3 mile loop, 1.9 mile loop and 100 yard fun run – all cross country routes through the Britt Woods park area on the Britt Canyon trail. Both loops are considered “exhibition” runs (untimed) and the 10k is a combination of the two loops. For the 10k, there is an age and gender handicapped and staggered start to allow everyone a fair chance at winning the race. All races are on trails and be prepared for lots of HILLS!
Each participant of the 10k receives a medal, ribbons to the first 20 finishes and trophies and prize money to the top overall winners!
