Kickstarter of the Week: SWIICK (The All Weather Hoodie)

If I could live in hoodies, I probably would. There is just something comforting about the hooded top – something that (at least for me) harkens back to middle and high school – when this was my apparel of choice. While we sometimes wore hoodies for batting practice and early Spring warming up in the dugout, we knew quickly that as soon the precipitation fell, our hoodies were toast – soaked to the core and unusable until it dried out. FTX has launched a Kickstarter campaign for what they are calling their “ultimate performance hoodie” and something that could be used in multiple settings – from travel to running.

SWIICK is a performance hoodie made up of two “halves” – the top being a 100%  liquid-resistant 14K vinyl upper shell and the bottom made from poly microfiber fabric. It’s like the best of both worlds.

In addition to the unique design, it is also designed with functionality in mind. There are 9 (!) pockets that can carry all you need – from water bottles and keys when running, to passports and wallets when utilizing as a casual piece. Under the arms, there are arm vents to keep air flowing and the zippers are rust-free, so will hold up to the weather.

Men’s and women’s cuts are available and you can pledge for $68. Check it out!
