Small Race Preview: 2017 Redmond Friends of K9 (9K & 5K)

Coming to Redmond for the 2nd year in a row is the Redmond Friends of K9 race in the Dry Canyon. This year, the event features the unique distance of 9K… or 5.592 miles for you imperial folks. There is also the classic 5K as well as a 1 mile walk with your dog. For those that are curious, this will not be done as a “running with the bulls” event, where actual K-9 dogs are sent out after the runners (although, could you imagine the PR’s??). However, you can expect to see local police out with their dogs for everyone to see. Last year was a lot of fun as families were able to let their kids meet the “police dogs” and see the dogs in action after the race.

The event benefits local police K-9 units in the City of Redmond and is great low cost race in a beautiful place.

When: Saturday, April 29th, starting at 9am. The race starts and ends at the dog park at 1429 W Antler St in Redmond

Cost/Register: 9K/5K = $35. 1 mile walk = $15. Register online through runsignup.
