Small Race Preview: 2017 SE Dash and Bash 5K (Portland)

Offering a new race course for 2017, the SE Dash and Bash 5K will start and finish at the Moreland Farmer’s Market in Portland, next to Sellwood Park.  All proceeds from the event help  the Windermere  Foundation, focusing on poverty and homlessness in our local community.  This family friendly event is perfect for runners, walkers and strollers, but please leave dogs at home.

Also new to the event this year is chip timing, which will be provided by Endurance Evolution.  When you finish your “dash”, hang out for refreshments and the “bash” provided by  Rocket 88, a local band filling the atmosphere with a mixture of rock, blues, and R&B.

About Robin York (146 Articles)
Robin grew up as a couch potato and did everything she could to get out of exercise, until one day a good friend would not stop talking about this fun 5k race she was doing. Finally Robin got off the couch and trained for this "fun" race using C25K (couch to 5k program). After crossing that first finish line, she kept going and became a "runner". After losing 80 lbs, gaining health, a love of being active and setting a healthy example for her husband and kids, she thinks she'll stick with this whole "running thing".
