Coach Jim’s free group long run: Saturday, March 18, 2017

There is a Coach Jim run this Saturday, even though many of his regulars will be running Shamrock. Spring marathon training can’t wait!

The run this weekend is a 2-part excursion, starting with a 6-mile lollipop  from Grand Central Bakery at 714 N. Fremont. The route loops around the beautiful Irvington neighborhood before returning to the store for the 2nd segment, an out-and-back that will travel out the first 7 miles of this route along Willamette Drive and past the University of Portland.

The run will start at 8a and offer pace groups ranging from about 7:30/mile to 12:30/mile, depending on who all shows up. Everyone looking for a group distance run is welcome to join them, just bring your own hydration and nutrition.

You can RSVP for the run here, and be sure to join Coach Jim’s group to get notifications of all his training and fun events.

About Kelly Barten (748 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
