I like how these socks breathe, which is surprisingly well considering the wool. But most importantly, I like how the quarter top covers my ankles, providing a thin layer of protection I didn’t know I was missing until now. Between the two styles I tried, the Ultra Light and the Light, the Ultra pair is thinner and is more agreeable for my feet on longer runs, but the thicker pair work really well on cold days while also providing a slightly more padded feel because of the thickness. In either case, I do not believe you will be disappointed with these socks, they really are built to take a beating!
CloudLine Apparel’s name was inspired by that feeling you get after spending hours hiking under an overcast sky, when you finally climb high enough to break through the clouds and see the blue sky above. Your legs burn, your heart is thumping, your breath is short, but as you look out across the open valley, now clear and open above the cloud line, you get a sensation of chills down your spine and a grin grows across your face as you realize that it was worth the climb. This is the feeling we want you to experience as you pull your feet into our merino wool hiking socks. That feeling is what we strive for every day. We want you to experience the CloudLine.
