Take part in a community race aimed at raising funds for the Tualatin High School Cross Country General and Scholarship Funds with the Timberwolves Challenge 5k, set to take place Saturday, August 13. Participants can choose from either the Open 5k and race as an individual, or the unique Team 4x5k, competing with a team against other teams of 4. Whichever race you choose, there will be guaranteed fun and fitness for everyone involved.
The Portland Running Company sponsored event is scheduled to begin at 8:30am at Tualatin High School. For those opting to race as a team of 4, there will be three team divisions: Open (Male, Female, Co-Ed), Masters (Male, Female, Co-Ed), and High School Challenge. The team 5k will be scored “cross country style.” Other event highlights include timed 5k results, sponsor booths, team awards for each division, and post race snacks.
The 2 loop 5k course is described as a gravel path and concrete race surface and will include water and aid stations.
Registration prices are as follows: $30 for individual, $100 per team of 4, and $25 for students. Technical tees are available for all participants upon registration.
Packet pick up will take place Friday, 8/12 at Portland Running Company from 4-8pm. There will also be day of race packet pick up at the race site from 6:30-8am.
