Impressions:

In the summer I enjoy wearing tank tops both for running and for every day wear. I received the UA CoolSwitch Trail Tank in Aqua Blue color, which is gorgeous. The fabric feels soft and cool against the skin. It is listed as a “fitted” fit, but it is not a skin-tight fit while still sitting close enough to the body to not present gaping openings. By nature of the cut, this shirt will need a running bra underneath. During a run, the tank stayed where I expected it to and felt airy and fresh. According to Under Armour’s website, “UA CoolSwitch uses an exclusive coating on the inside that pulls heat away from your skin, making you actually feel cool & able to perform longer.” It certainly felt great during the warm weather runs that I wore it on.

The only annoyance, which was extremely minor and would not deter me from purchasing these clothes, was with the tags. They are very big and papery, so leaving them in is uncomfortable. They are designed to be torn away without damaging the stitching, but after taking the tags off, there is no label at all indicating the size and style of the garment. In order to not forget and in case I will want to buy more of the same kind at a later point, I wrote the names onto the inside seams with Sharpie. Many clothing manufacturers print their sizing and style info onto the fabric without the use of tags, and it would be nice if UA would follow suit in future incarnations.

The UA ArmourVent Trail Shorts are made from a very lightweight, stretchy material, which will dry quickly and give you free range of motion during outdoor activities. I received them in American Blue color, which coordinates well with a variety of clothing I already own. They have two front pockets plus a zippered pocket in the right seam. The 3.5″  inseam is a little shorter than I typically wear, but due to the material, I don’t feel like the seam is digging into my leg as I move and sit. They felt great during a full day of activity around my house and yard, and I can also see them working well as summer camping wear and beach and poolside cover up over a swimsuit. These pants will definitely be added into my weekend getaway bag.
