Race Preview: 2016 Oregon State Police Fallen Trooper Run

The 5th annual Fallen Trooper Memorial Run will be held at Champoeg Park on July 9. This event is raising money to help fund a physical memorial to honor the Oregon State Police that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. A wall is being built to honor these men and women, but your help is needed to fund this memorial.

This event includes a 10K, 5K, Cross Fit Relay, Kids 1K, Virtual 5K, and a BBQ.  The 5K route is an out and back course and the 10K route is currently pending due to a bridge closure in Champoeg Park. The Cross Fit Relay is an out and back 3K course for teams of 6. The Kids 1K is an untimed fun run. If you cannot make it on race day, but still would like to support the cause, the Virtual 5k allows you to do just that. The bar-be-que after the race requires a ticket which can be purchased for $5.

All distances (except the kids run) are chip-timed. Participants will receive a medal and a t-shirt (if registered before the shirt deadline.)

For more information on the Oregon State Police memorial or to donate to this project see the OSP memorial website.
