Small Race Preview: 2016 TJHS Splash N Dash 5K and 10K

.

Looking for something fun to start of your April race calendar?  Take a trip to Tillamook for the 4th annual Splash N Dash 5K and 10K which takes place on April 9th.  A little road running, a little trail running and possibly a little splashing in puddles if we have rain, the course is promised to be scenic at the historic port of Tillamook and the Tillamook Air Museum (which happens to be the world's largest woodframe building.). This chip timed event also offers tech race shirts, but hurry!  Those are not guaranteed after March 28th.   The kids' dash (0.25 mile) will also be timed this year. Proceeds from the race will benefit Bud's Community Fitness Trail located on Tillamook Junior High Campus .  Maintenance and improvement will benefit the whole community as the trail provides a place to run or walk (improving the fitness and well-being of the community). Start and finish will be held at Warehouse Fitness, which will also provide a warm and dry staging area if weather is a bit chilly.

About Robin York (146 Articles)
Robin grew up as a couch potato and did everything she could to get out of exercise, until one day a good friend would not stop talking about this fun 5k race she was doing. Finally Robin got off the couch and trained for this "fun" race using C25K (couch to 5k program). After crossing that first finish line, she kept going and became a "runner". After losing 80 lbs, gaining health, a love of being active and setting a healthy example for her husband and kids, she thinks she'll stick with this whole "running thing".
