Race Preview: 2016 CASA Superhero 5K, 10K and 1-miler (Salem)

You too can be a superhero!

Grab your cape (costumes encouraged) and run, walk, skip, jump, or fly with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children).  Located at the Riverfront Park Pavilion in Salem, the Superhero Race is a fun run offering a 5K, 10K and a 1 mile run or walk for the whole family.  This is a great opportunity to support the children in our community who need extra encouragement and advocacy offered by programs such as CASA and a perfect excuse to pull out your favorite superhero costume to go with your running shoes.

The course will run through two local parks in the area, with the 5k course starting at Riverfront Park and participants crossing the pedestrian bridge into Wallace Marine Park.   The 10k course will be the same as the 5K course with an extra loop. The Kids 1 Miler is a FREE event and a great opportunity for the whole family to get outside together and support our community’s most vulnerable children.

T-shirts are available for purchase with registration and the website states to stay tuned for announcements about race day goodies and prizes!  Sounds like a lot of fun to be had!
