Portland Running Company hosting Waterfront Trash Clean-up Party on March 5

Locally-owned Portland Running Company is hosting a Waterfront Trash Clean-up Party on Saturday, March 5, 2016. The goal is to improve the health and appearance of the waterfront pathways on which so many of our community run or walk.

When: Saturday, March 5, 2016

What time: 11a

Where: Meet on the west end of the Steel Bridge – PRC will put up their arch and a few tents so you can easily find them

PRC, along with SOLVE and Portland Parks, will provide everything needed including trash bags, gloves, and a number of trash-pickers (those stick things that let you pick stuff up without bending over). The group will pick up and bag rubbish, and Portland Parks team members will come by with trucks to pick the bags up. They will also provide careful instruction at the beginning of the pick-up time on how to properly pick up and dispose of needles.

Bring your own reuseable water bottle and refill it from PRC’s jugs. Then why not go for a run around the waterfront and enjoy your hard work?

PRC thanks everyone in advance for their support and help.
