Coach Jim’s free group long run for Saturday, January 16, 2016

Coach Jim’s run starts at Bridgeport Village this weekend – great location for all of you living in Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, Sherwood, Wilsonville, SW Portland, and Lake Oswego. These runs are free and open to all runners. Exact paces will vary but there are usually groups training for a 3:30 – 5:00 marathon finish time, which works out to about an 8 minute mile to a 12:30 minute mile. Experienced pace group leaders will make sure no one gets lost or left behind, and there is ample free parking. And let’s not forget that there are coffee shops and an Einstein Bagel near the start/finish!

When: Saturday, January 16, 2016

What time: The run starts at 8a. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so the run can start on time.

Where: Lululemon Bridgeport at 7381 SW Bridgeport Road, Portland/Tigard

How far & how fast: There are two loops. This week, there are again two loops which total about 16 miles. The first loop is 10.2 miles and the second loop is 6.1 miles. You may do both or just one of the loops! I am planning to attend and park a few miles from the finish, then ride with a friend to the start so that I can do my scheduled 8 miles and still run with the group.

Bring your own hydration and nutrition, dress for the weather, and come ready to make some new friends!
