Silvan Ridge winery, in the spectacular wine country near Eugene, presents the Silvan Ridge Twilight 5, a 5k evening race benefiting the Jane Higdon Foundation.
I am a fan of evening racing. This 5k starts at 6 p.m. from the grounds of Silvan Ridge winery, just southwest of Eugene, Oregon. The out-and-back course will take you along beautiful farmlands, with views of Sweet Cheeks Winery (across the road from Silvan Ridge) as you descend the Silvan Ridge Winery entryway to get onto the main road.
After the race, stick around for live music on the winery’s outdoor stage, and relax with food and drinks that will be available for purchase.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers, as well as each age group three deep. Parking is available at Silvan Ridge, and same day registration is also available. Your $20 entry fee (add $5 for race day entry) includes the 5k race and a logo wine glass. Add an event shirt for $10.
What a fantastic way to spend a Saturday evening – a 5k, live music, food and wine. Get registered for this wonderful evening race.
