The 5K and 10K courses stay on the Stewart Park bike/running paths. Both courses will run along the Umpqua River for a large portion of the race. The half marathon course is a mix of bike/running paths, neighborhoods, and country roads. This course also follows the river for a good portion of the time. (Links to all course maps can be found here.) All distances will be chip timed.

The Kid’s Marathon is truly an original event. Kids from age 3-14 can participate in a marathon one mile at a time. Kids run or walk a total of 25 miles before race day. On race day they complete their final 1.2 miles. Kids who track and complete the entire marathon distance will receive a special finisher’s medal. What a great way to get kids moving and learning to train for race day!
After the races, participants can enjoy Umpqua River chocolate milk, fresh berry cobbler from Kruse Farms, and they will receive a ticket for one free drink at either Old 99 Brewing Company or Booster Juice. They will also receive a ticket to enter the prize drawing. More food and drinks will be available and live music will keep you entertained. Awards and prize drawings will follow the races, too. There are plenty of reasons to hang out after the race, so stick around and enjoy the Umpqua River Festival.
