IndieGoGo of the Week – T-Rex

Product: T-Rex: Truly Cordless Earphones
Location: San Francisco, CA
Link: IndieGoGo
Current Goal: $42,909 of $50,000
End: July 31, 2015

It’s fitting that with the movie Jurassic World breaking all kinds of box office records, one of the fastest supported IndieGoGo campaigns is called the T-Rex. These cordless headphones have gathered 86% of their funding in just 3 days (at the time of this writing on 6/18 – it may be fully funded by posting).

From their campaign:

T-Rex noise-isolating earphones cover the full range of the audio spectrum and are ergonomically designed to comfortably fit the contour of your ear. They are soft and comfy and can be worn for hours at a time.

Given my love for music and podcasting when I run, these would be a godsend. I currently have a simple corded pair of bluetooth headphones that I really enjoy, but true cordless would be magical – especially if it can emit at least halfway decent sound.
Right now, you can back their campaign and receive a pair for $149. Deliveries will begin in March 2016.

NOTE: The difference between IndieGogo and Kickstarter is that with IndieGoGo, the company gets to keep all the funds, regardless of if it reaches its goal or not. Keep that in mind, as with Kickstarter, money isn’t guaranteed until the threshold is met.
