Race Preview: 2015 Noah’s Quest 5K/10K and Kiddie run

Noah's Quest 5K, 10K and Kiddie run is a benefit for Brief Encounters, a non-profit support group for those who have lost a child before, during, or after birth.  This year, a candle lighting will take place along with a wall of photographs to honor the babies who have passed.   I will be attending in honor of my dear friend's daughter, Emma Claire. Please feel free to come join us!  Day of registration will be available at 8am at Sandy Bluff Park along with a dove release at 8:45 am.

Brief Encounters is “a nonprofit, nonsectarian group for parents whose babies have died before, during, or after birth. Brief Encounters provides meetings in the greater Portland, Oregon area and local phone support. At informal, mutually supportive meetings, bereaved parents and their families share their stories, discuss issues that arise around pregnancy and infant loss, and remember their children. Through talking or just listening, we learn what grief is and how, through understanding and caring, we heal.”

Kiddie run is $5 and registration for the 5K and 10K is $25 before June 26th and $30 for day of registration.  Bricks are also available for purchase for the memorial walkway and must be done so before June 12th to be included on the memorial path in time for the race event.
