The name may have changed, but the fun and purpose stays the same. The Community Action Superhero Dash 10k/5k (formerly the Hands On Superhero Dash) is back in Salem on June 13. Community Action and HandsOn Willamette are the valley’s volunteer action agency for Polk, Yamhill, and Marion Counties. In addition for assisting with such programs as Head Start and Child Care Resource and Referral, they are also responsible for assigning volunteers with programs that need them.
The races , like in year’s past, will take place at Salem’s Riverfront Park and will cross over into Wallace Marine Park via the Union Street Pedestrian Bridge. The event is very family based and the superhero theme is obviously encouraged. Feel free to bring the whole family along, including kids and dogs!
