Dashing through the snow … to get to finish line … where I will find something, yummy to dine – dine – dine – dine – dine, on, on, on.

Running and food. That combination makes me happy. So much so that I spontaneously create a song about it, to Christmas music, of course! I hope I didn’t scare you away with my mini concert.

Another January race in Eugene, runners! Eugene’s race calendar is quite packed with January races. This one, Dash N Dine, offers a 15k or 5k option for you to choose from. The event takes place on Sunday, January 25, 2015.

Level 32 Racing presents the 2015 edition of Dash N Dine. For 2015, the 15k and 5k races will start and finish at the Holiday Inn Express on Franklin Blvd, which also hosts the Franklin Dutch Bros. coffee stand (us Dutch Bros. fans sometimes know how to get around town via Dutch Bros. stand locations). Packet pick-up and same day race registration for Dash N Dine begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, Oregon Room. The 15k and 5k events will begin at 10 a.m.

The 15k event will take participants along the Alton Baker Park multi-use paths, and cross over both the Greenway foot bridge and the Knickerbocker foot bridge. The 5k course will also follow the Alton Baker Park multi-use paths, and cross the Autzen and Knickerbocker foot bridges. The Alton Baker Park paths follow the Willamette River, which affords a peaceful, enjoyable view along the course.

Awards will be presented in both race distances for the top male and female finisher, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Post race refreshments and gathering will take place at the Holiday Inn Express, where you will find post-race fuel by Sporks A la Carte, as well as beer by a local Eugene brewery, Claim 52 Brewing. Dutch Bros. will also offer $1 beverages to satisfy your palate after your run.

Registration is available online, as well as race day morning. Get registered, and enjoy Dashing and Dining (through the snow … in a one horse open sleigh …).
