For many marathon runners training for the Portland Marathon, the weekend of September 13 calls for a 20 mile run in their training plan. Cause + Event Portland has a solution for those needing to log those miles and it’s fun, it’s affordable, it’s fully supported AND it’s for a cause…YOUR cause!
The Training Plan 20 has just been added to the registration options. Here’s how it works: Run our Hillaceous Half, THEN run the 10K course (plus a lil’ extra just for you) and BOOM you get a fully supported, super fun training run with aid stations and porta potties, cheering crowds, plus beer, food and fun at the finish line.
As if that isn’t incentive enough, you ALSO get to run for your cause too. $80 includes: a special Training Plan 20 bib, $40 to the cause of your choice, Nike Dri-FIT shirt, finisher medal and everything else that’s awesome about Cause + Event Portland.

Cause + Event Portland also boasts a 5K walk and run, plus a free Red Cross Kids 1K Fun Run and affordable childcare on site in Bethany Village. Post-race entertainment is provided by the Northwest’s favorite cover band Hit Machine, and the pre and post-race fuel spread is unlike any other.
The event is capped at 1000 runners total and space for the Training Plan 20 is LIMITED, so register today!! Our entire event sold out almost three weeks before the race in 2013 so CLICK HERE to register right now before it’s too late!
The Hillaceous Half discount code: 2014HALF is also valid for this event, for the first 100 runners to use it! Run with us on September 13, it’s for a good cause…YOUR cause!
