If you know me, then you know I am an avid safety enthusiast. I usually run in the early mornings and late nights on the roads of SE Portland and am always in need of good reflective gear or bright colors. The Halo Belt 2.0 takes this to the next level with a LED fiber optic system paired with a 3M reflective elastic that is both adjustable and rechargeable. This belt is multi-use and intended for runners, cyclists, children, safety workers, and just about anyone who needs to be safe in dark conditions.
The Halo Belt 2.0 is rechargeable via USB outlet and fully charges in just two hours, fully charged the Belt provides 36 hours worth of illumination. The benefit of the Halo Belt 2.0 is that regular 3M reflective tape only illuminates the wearer if light is projected onto the tape. The Halo Belt 2.0 makes you visible at all times because of the LED fiber optic capability.
As a runner, I have had a slough of close calls with cars on the dark streets in SE Portland, the Halo Belt 2.0 is an attractive and inventive option to what is currently on the market and I like that you can put it around your shoulders, waist, or anywhere else you choose. I think it would make a really exciting addition to this years’ Portland World Naked Bike Ride, don’t you?
If you pledge $35 or more to this campaign, you can receive an orange, green or blue Halo Belt 2.0. I am thinking I might pick up one myself. I don’t even feel like I really need to “sell” you on this, safety that isn’t bulky sells itself. Go grab one and
