Biom: The Wipe Stuff Every Runner Needs

One thing I’ve learned after years of running is that I’m constantly cleaning up on the go. That probably sounds a little strange, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve changed clothes in my car before or after a run. Between work meetings, family activities, grabbing coffee with friends, or heading to dinner, there’s not always time to get home and shower before moving on to the next thing.

That’s where having a few cleanup essentials in the car has become surprisingly useful. A quick wipe-down after a sweaty road run or muddy trail run can make all the difference before jumping into the next part of the day.

I have tried a variety of options over the years and the latest comes courtesy of Biom.

The Biom XL Body Cleansing Wipes have quickly become a favorite for those moments. They’re large enough to actually clean off sweat, sunscreen, salt, and trail dust instead of feeling like you’re trying to accomplish the job with a tiny wipe. They’re not a replacement for a shower, but they’re an excellent bridge until you can get to one.

Alongside those, I’ve also been using Biom’s refillable Dispenser. It holds the Standard Disinfecting wipes or All-Purpose wipes, which are perfect for the little cleanup jobs that pop up throughout the day. I’ve been keeping one in my car to clean my hands before grabbing a recovery snack (why am I always so messy eating in my car?!), cleaning sunglasses, or freshening up the steering wheel and console after I inevitably soad them in sweat after a hot workout. It’s one of those things that’s easy to keep in the car or toss in a running bag.

One thing I appreciate is that Biom isn’t just focused on convenience. The wipes are made without microplastics, use a plant-based formula, and still kill 99.9% of germs—including COVID-19. They also smell genuinely fresh without being overpowering.

It’s one of those products that isn’t running-specific, but fits naturally into a runner’s lifestyle. Sometimes the best gear isn’t something you use during the run—it’s what helps you transition back into the rest of your day.
